Even as the media working overtime guessing the story of ‘Mankatha’, Ajith’s 50th venture, director of the film Venkat Prabhu has come out with an explanation on what the movie is all about.

“Yes, the basic knot of the script is gambling. But it is not true that the film revolves entirely on cricket betting. It will deal about all sorts of gambling that are taking place,” said the filmmaker.

On the role played by Arjun in the film, he said, “Since he is playing a cop who is behind Ajith, the scenes in which he appear will be the highlight of the film. In one particular scene, Ajith would call him Action King.”

Happy about the Thala dissolving all his fan clubs, Venkat Prabhu said, “It is a very good and bold decision. He will now be admired by fans of all actors. Thala is always straight forward and honest.”
